My Voyage Begins

Welcome to my new blog. I plan to use it to keep friends up to date on my small boat life and travels under sail. Hope you enjoy it!

I am building a small cruising dinghy by the name of SCAMP. SCAMP is not the name of my boat but the name of the design, which in my estimation is one of the best if not the best small cruising dinghies available. thepocketyacht.com

Here is a web site I like very much.

  1. Welcome to the blogspere. Central Wis the weather is starting to get spring like. The ice opened up this week on the lake. I am anxious to go sailing but with light breezes. A series of shake down cruses The water is to cold and I don't have a dry suit yet.

  2. Just the logistics bedazzle me, and the journey has hardly begun. Carry on!

  3. So glad I am getting to read your blog, Howard. I was just in Chile last year with my daughter and 5 yr old granddaughter. We ventured slightly into Patagonia (Chiloe) but traveling with a 4-5 yr. old was difficult and our time limited. One of my favorite books of all time is Voyaging by Rockwell Kent. Will await your blog with great interest. Bon Voyage, Leslie Cardone
